Within the Lockheed Martin Space Radio Frequency (RF) Talent Center (RFTC) you will contribute to challenging programs in support of Space Vehicles, Hypersonics, Human Space Flight and Interplanetary Missions, Missile Defense, and more
In this RF engineering role as a RF Subsystem Lead Engineer within LM Space, you will:
• Manage resources to execute the Communication Subsystem maturation in support of the NASA GEO-XO program, including generating and driving corrective actions with regular coordination with each component lead to gather and report general progress, problems, and plans
• Lead subsystem program finance reviews, interfacing directly with the program COMM’s team and Systems Customer counterparts to gather appropriate inputs
• Support resource demand based on current forecasting and work with lead to update staffing plans
• Contribute weekly to IPT’s 4-blocker activity report to Spacecraft Director, accountability as a delegate CAM to COMM Subsystem, and elevates any conflicts or roadblocks to the IPT in a timely manner for resolution
• Manage Technical Trades and quick Baseline updates, frequent consultation with Program Subsystem leads to ensure program priorities and technical challenges are communicated.
• Look ahead and manage on time delivery of all COMM Subsystem related CDRLs, Co-own COMM Risks and Opportunities
• Drive release of COMM Subsystem and COMM Component Specs by subsystem team including linkages to all parent documentation
Successful applicants will typically possess:
• 9+ years of professional experience, with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline or similar years of experience and education in lieu of education.
• 5+ years’ experience in RF/Microwave Systems, and Spacecraft communication systems.
Basic Qualifications:
Skill Requirements:
• Experience with RF/Microwave systems.
• Experience with spacecraft communication systems preferably with a NASA-managed mission.
• Experience working as a Cost Account Manager
• Familiarity with microwave RF subsystem design and hardware - specifically receivers, exciters, transponders, amplifiers, couplers, hybrids, RF switches, isolators, attenuators, antennas and waveguides.
• Experience in performing RF link analysis and prediction, as well as RF subsystem performance analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment, interacting with other subsystem experts, systems engineers and customers in a timely and effective manner.
• Ability to work on-site 4 days per week in office.
Work Authorization and/or Security Clearance Requirements:
• To meet requirements of the program/customer, this position requires the selected candidate be a U.S. Citizen.

• Ability to build key relationships across organizations internally within LM and externally with government customer to achieve organizational and program goals
• Excellent presentation, oral and written skills to facilitate effective and efficient technical and business interchanges with senior customer and management
• Experience with program lifecycle execution from concept phase through end-of-life phase
• Ability to use a broad network of relationships across Lockheed Martin business areas to achieve program and organizational goals
• Experience creating and managing RF subsystems through technology maturation roadmaps
• Experience with procurement and management of supplier-developed hardware to include collaboration with enterprise subcontract management teams
• Development of requirements and interface definitions resolution/remediation process leading to mission success
• Business capture process, including estimating, architecture definition, and baseline control
• Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $114,100 - $218,600. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
