In this highly visible role through the RF Talent Center, the RF Engineering Manager will have the opportunity to help define strategic direction of the organization.
The selected candidate will lead a diverse team of RF Engineers through the design, build, test, and delivery of RF EGSE.
-The leader will perform dual roles as the functional leader of a group of direct report RF engineers and as an experienced engineer contributing to the completion of RF EGSE design engineering tasks.
-The leader will have the opportunity to personally take on high-level RF EGSE design and test support tasks.
-The leader will have the opportunity to lead teams performing root cause analysis and failure review board activities in support product issues.
-The leader will have the opportunity to participate in design reviews, ensuring good RF Design practices and processes are in place.
-The leader will have the opportunity to mentor and coach less experienced engineers.
Successful candidates will typically have a Bachelors degree from an accredited college in an Engineering, Manufacturing, Production, or other related discipline with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment.
Basic Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members, customers, and senior leadership
- Ability to lead multi-functional teams and lead multiple teams to communicate and coordinate work as one team with common goals
- Previous experience with mission driven cross functional teams executing complex tasks
-ability to obtain an clearance
-Experience with systems-level design, integration, and test, including interface definition, system performance analysis, and troubleshooting
- Systems Engineering process knowledge or experience and complete lifecycle experience with Engineering processes and reviews
- Basic knowledge of RF systems, including design, development, and test principles.
Desired Skills:
-Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously: The candidate should have experience leading cross-functional teams, including RF engineers, mechanical engineers, and technicians. They should be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- The candidate should have basic knowledge of RF systems, including design principles, development methodologies, and test procedures. They should be familiar with RF simulation tools, such as ADS, CST, or HFSS, and have experience with RF test and measurement equipment, such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and network analyzers.
-The candidate should have experience as a Certified Principal Engineer (CPE) with a strong background in RF engineering, including design, development, and test of RF systems, and demonstrated expertise in leading technical teams and managing complex RF engineering projects.
- Demonstrated Program/Project Management and/or CAM experience executing with agile processes and tools
- The candidate should have basic knowledge of RF systems, including design principles, development methodologies, and test procedures. They should be familiar with RF simulation tools, such as ADS, CST, or HFSS, and have experience with RF test and measurement equipment, such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and network analyzers.
-Customer interaction and familiarity with the DoD customer expectations and processes- Understanding of development, deployment and sustainment of IT systems, architectures, and applications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with strong presentation skills and capable of briefing audiences large or small of varying technical knowledge
- Knowledge of Lockheed Martin Space production operations, manufacturing, and test operations and processes
- Comfortable working in a fast paced and dynamic multi-disciplinary environment
-Experience with RF engineering design within the aerospace and defense sector
-Familiarity with related RF hardware (transceivers, antennas, exciters, repeaters, CCA's, PCB's, microelectronics) is desired
-Experience with the EGSE product Lifecyle
-Control Account Management (CAM) training / experience.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $118,700 - $209,300. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
