As a Production Quality Engineer, you will support weekend production activities (Friday-Monday) at the Littleton, CO manufacturing facility for the Space Electronics Center (SEC). We build circuit card assemblies, cable harnesses, modules, and final box assemblies that power and control spacecraft for a variety of missions. These exciting missions include the next generation of GPS and weather satellites, as well as several military and classified satellites that defend our nation and those that serve.
As a Quality Engineer you will drive process improvements on the production floor to reduce variation and nonconformances in our products. You will verify and lead changes to ensure work instructions are planned in the most efficient and effective manner, and you will work with high value hardware on the floor to ensure that defects are identified and dealt with in the right way every time. You will have a strong commitment to process improvement and handle multiple projects and priorities. You will be dedicated to the critical responsibility of doing “what’s right” for the product and our customers at all times. A continuous improvement mindset and focus on top quality, and the ability to work effectively with a team are also key.

Basic Qualifications:
To be successful in this role you will need to possess the following requirements:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience
• Knowledge of manufacturing/quality processes and documentation
• Ability to comprehend and interpret drawings, work instructions, schematics, and specifications
• Required to work off shifts, overtime and nonstandard work weeks as needed to meet product deliveries
• Travel may be required to support product deliveries

Desired Skills:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college in a technical discipline (e.g., engineering field) or equivalent discipline (e.g., math, physics, chemistry, etc.).
• Experience with PR/MRB process
• Root Cause Analysis experience
• Green Belt Trained and/or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) - Power Products, Batteries, and RF/Microwave components
• Understands lean manufacturing and quality optimization in a production environment
• Experience with SAP or VECAMS and data analytics
to report trends and achieve results
• Broad electronics experience to include working knowledge of Circuit Cards, Harnesses, Antennas
• Excellent communication skills to engage the
team, customers and senior leaders
• Resourceful self-starter

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $74,700 - $143,100. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
