Lockheed Martin Technical Lead, Training and Tech Pubs in Liverpool, New York

Description: This successful candidate will be a member of the Global Sustainment Courseware, Training, and Technical Publications team. Responsibilities include:

Coordinate the planning, organization, control, integration, and delivery of technical publications and training products supporting Syracuse-based LM programs.

Provide technical expertise in radar systems to training developers, technical writers, and other logistics team members.

Evaluate design changes and identify impact to technical manuals and training products.

Facilitate communication between the logistics teams (training, technical manuals), engineering, and other program teams to share information about product changes affecting deliverables.

Ensure that all training products delivered meet customer requirements, applicable military or other standards.

Lead the development of training programs, curriculum, syllabi, training materials, training plans, and other training products. Apply instructional system design best practices to all training products.

Acquire subject knowledge by interviewing engineers and other subject matter experts, observing performance of procedures, review technical specifications, engineering drawings, schematics, and other materials.

Generate technical documentation to support

maintenance and operational tasks.

Conduct formal instructor-led technical training for domestic and international training customers, including, but not limited to system operation, field maintenance, depot maintenance, troubleshooting.

Coordinate all aspects or training preparation, including preparing the classroom, reserving lab space, and support personnel.

Counsel students, evaluate student performance, and maintain class records.

Support development of technical documentation, such as technical procedure manuals, depot manuals, user manuals, and other related technical publications, as needed.

International and domestic travel required.

Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Master's degree. Considered an emerging authority.

Desired Skills:

Previous experience in maintaining or operating radar systems.

Experience developing training curriculum to military standards.

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
