The Nursing Assistant, under the supervision of a licensed nurse, provides direct basic nursing care, including but not limited to nutrition, hygiene, ambulation, positioning, hydration, elimination, comfort measures, and a range of motion to chronic or acute patients.
Serving Merced County Westside area with 48 care beds, the facility is part of Memorial Hospitals Association and Sutter Health, a not-for-profit organization that exists to maintain and improve the health status of citizens in its geographic area. Memorial Hospital Los Banos provides and promotes effective inpatient and outpatient health care services including 24-hour Emergency Care, Rural Health Clinic, Surgery, Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Diagnostics Imaging, and Intensive Care Unit and Physical Therapy.
High school graduate or G.E.D. equivalent.
Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the State of California or must obtain the certification within 6 months of hire or active enrollment atleast the second semester in the Registered Nurse (RN) Program.
Ability to write, read, hear and verbally communicate in English to the degree required to perform the job.
- Greater than six months recent patient care experience.
