THE WORK

We're looking for an F-16 Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Networked Training Center (NTC) in beautiful, sunny Luke AFB, AZ. The NTC is an F-16 simulation and training facility that operates 4 high fidelity F-16 cockpits networked together and that provide the ultimate in combat training realism. If you’re an F-16 pilot, more than likely, you trained in our simulators. Here’s a preview of what your job will entail:

You’ll be supporting our onsite Development and Engineering team performing a variety of analytical, development and testing of visual display systems, flight model performance, sensor and weapons employment, aerodynamics and F-16 emergency procedures. You’ll interface with F-16 IPs, Weapons Officers and leadership to develop and execute the scenarios that support all F-16 simulator syllabus requirements for the 56th Fighter Wing (FW). You will be the project lead for our Acceptance Test Procedures where we demonstrate new upgrades of hardware modifications such as Night Vision Goggle, Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System or the software for new Operational Flight Programs (OFPs) such as MMC 7.2, SNIPER targeting pods, HARM Targeting System, APG-68 radar, AGM-88 HARMs and many more.

You’ll work as a SME for aircraft systems, cockpit operations, Instructor Operation/Master Control Station (IOS/MCS) operations, and training trends. You’ll work with world-class Weapons Directors who provide exceptional realism and who set the standard in Ground Controlled Intercept procedures and communications. You will work hand-in-glove with our software, hardware and network engineering teams to develop, integrate and test new upgrades. You’ll work closely with our on-site maintenance technicians to provide real-time resolution of problems as they crop up. You will work closely with our lead Air Force Assistant Director of Operations for Training Systems to set priorities for training system improvements and Engineering Change Proposals which are the big ticket yearly upgrades to our systems.

Bottom line: You will be THE go-to expert for all things F-16. You will have a direct impact on the training of every U.S. Air Force F-16 pilot that trains in our sims and who, upon graduation, become the finest front-line F-16 fighter pilots in the world.
