American Family Insurance - Corporate Analytics Product Director (Primarily Office) in Madison, Wisconsin

Reinforces product strategy and execution through thoughtful and determined leadership of the analytics development team focused on data infrastructure, data governance, data visualization, performance analytics, business process, program management, reporting and storytelling.

Position Compensation Range:

$166,000.00 - $282,000.00

Primary Accountabilities

  • Create a collaborative, performance-driven work environment by facilitating and promoting trust, transparency, and inclusion. Work with team members to set clear goals, provide feedback, perform performance assessments, and support on-going development.

  • Lead with influence and expertise. Contribute to division or department leadership team. Communicate and support organization mission, vision, values and practices. •lead the creation of the product analytics strategy, and the role that each product/segment plays within it to achieve the overall portfolio targets.

  • Manage the portfolio according to the strategy and in connection to the overall agile framework.

  • Help create the legacy data retirement roadmap, based off product strategies guided by peer teams, incorporating all legacy products to inform broader data architecture strategies.

  • Provide standardized and analyses of insurance product portfolios, working with line of business leads to evaluate profitability, risk exposure, and identify opportunities for enhancement.

  • Establish and direct the insurance product data strategy and implementation.

  • Lead and implement protocols for the efficient capture/maintenance of data to maintain high data quality standards.

  • Leverage analytical tools to support efficient data visualization and analysis by the product areas.

  • Direct portfolio management for all initiatives included within the insurance lifecycle.

  • Leads vendor management for the product team, including researching and sourcing vendors, contract negotiations, managing relationships and evaluating performance.

  • Directs compliance and audit functions, providing an independent evaluation to ensure compliance with internal guidelines and external laws, rules, and regulations.

Specialized Skills Requirements

  • Demonstrate experience providing customer-focused solutions and support.

  • Demonstrated experience leading people and projects.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in area(s) of accountability.

  • Demonstrated experience managing large programs involving the integration of multiple projects across operational and technical areas.

  • Extensive knowledge of financial planning and reporting techniques and tools.

  • Demonstrated experience in product management, product development or integration.

  • Demonstrated experience in profit and loss accountability.

  • Solid knowledge of business planning processes.

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of technology used in systems of insurance in area (s) of accountability.

In this primarily office-based role, you will spend at least 80% of your time (4+ days per week) working from one of the following office location(s): Madison, WI 53783 or Boston, MA 02110. Preferred location is Madison, WI.
