American Family Insurance - Corporate Executive Assistant (Primarily Office) in Madison, Wisconsin

Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, you will coordinate daily administrative needs of CMO, as well as the main administrative aspects of the marketing department. Responsibilities include maintaining confidential working relationships with the leader and his/her staff in the normal performance of their duties. We ask that you have a wide variety of executive administrative functions at a high level of performance, accuracy, confidentiality and a thorough knowledge of the organization, operation of the company, and office routine.

Position Compensation Range:

$28.84 - $47.59

Primary Accountabilities

  • Complete broad varieties of administrative tasks for senior leaders, including managing an extremely active calendar of appointments; complete expense reports; compose and prepare correspondence that is sometimes confidential; and arranging complex and detailed travel plans, itineraries, and agendas; compile documents for travel-related meetings; and scheduling meetings internally and/or with vendors.

  • Research, prioritize, and follow up on incoming issues and concerns addressed to the leader, including those of a sensitive or confidential nature. Determine appropriate course of action, referral or response.

  • Provide a bridge for communication between the leader's office and internal departments; demonstrate leadership to maintain credibility, trust and support with senior management staff.

  • Work effectively with the leader(s) as you will keep the executive well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.

  • Demonstrated skills and ability to operate general office equipment.

  • Demonstrated experience in administrative work and general office administration.

  • Keyboarding/typing ability of 25 WPM.

  • Solid knowledge and experience of PC and product software.
