Summary:

Job Family Summary

Assist in the operation and maintenance of binding operations (e.g. photocopier, digital printing press) and finishing equipment (e.g. trimmer, binder).

Job Description:

Level Summary

  • Works with clearly defined methods and tasks that are described in detail.

  • Works under close supervision with little autonomy.

  • Requires little or no prior relevant training or work experience.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Assist operator in day to day finishing operations

  • Duties include but not limited to: UPS Shipping, assembly of booklets, binders, and documents to be sent out to agents, punching and coiling booklets, organize campaigns for agents, organize products for conventions, etc.

  • Achieve proficiency in and utilize several vendor supplied software control and operating systems.

  • Monitor inventory and order as necessary

Working Hours

  • 12:00pm - 8:30pm Monday - Thursday

  • 12:00pm - 6:30pm Friday

Working Conditions

  • This position requires the ability to work with exposure to electrical shock between 1 and 33% of the time.

  • This position requires the ability to work with exposure to fumes or airborne particles between 66 and 100% of the time.

  • This position requires the ability to work in loud noise (examples: metal can manufacturing department, large earth-moving equipment).

  • This position requires the ability to work with exposure to moving parts between 66 and 100% of the time.

  • This position requires the ability to work with exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals between 66 and 100% of the time.

  • This position requires the ability to work in very loud noise (examples: jack hammer work, front row at a rock concert).

  • This position requires the ability to work with exposure to vibration between 1 and 33% of the time.

  • This position requires the ability to work in wet and/or humid conditions between 33 and 66% of the time.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service

  • Demonstrated experience working in a production environment.

  • Demonstrated PC experience.

Physical Demands

  • This position requires the ability to work with close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less) for extended periods of time.

  • This position requires the ability to work with color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors) for extended periods of time.

  • This position requires the ability to work with depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships) for extended periods of time.

  • This position requires the ability to work with distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more) for extended periods of time.

  • This position requires the ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus) for extended periods of time.

  • This position requires hand and finger dexterity between 66 and 100% of the time.

  • This position requires the ability to reach with hands and arms between 66 and 100% of the time.

  • This position requires the ability to stand between 66 and 100% of the time.

  • This position requires the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl between 66 and 100% of the time.

  • This position requires the ability to talk or listen (hear) between 33 and 66% of the time.

  • This position requires the ability to walk between 66 and 100% of the time.

  • This position requires the ability to push up to 25 pounds between 66 and 100% of the time.

  • This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds between 33 and 66% of the time.

Additional Job Information:

  • Printing/Copier center operations background is a plus

  • Warehouse or similar background is a plus

  • Forklift experience/certification is a plus
