American Family Insurance - Corporate Senior Financial Analyst (Hybrid) in Madison, Wisconsin
Job Description Summary
You will support the achievement of our financial and growth goals by providing management across the company with essential financial information and analysis related to our profitability and key financial measures. You will design financial operational reporting systems to deliver this information.
You will support us with expenses across all operating companies within American Family Insurance, with specialization where needed, and report to the Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis.
Position Compensation Range:
$78,000.00 - $128,000.00

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.
Primary Accountabilities:
Budgeting and Forecasting : Developing and analyzing budgets and forecasts for various departments.
Expense Analysis : Monitoring and analyzing actual expenses against budgeted amounts. Identifying variances and providing insights into the reasons behind these variances.
Financial Reporting : Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for senior management.
Cost Management : Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Strategic Planning Support : Assisting in the development of our strategic financial plans.
Compliance and Risk Management : Ensuring that all financial activities comply with internal policies and external regulations. Identifying and mitigating financial risks associated with expense management.
Collaboration and Communication : Working with other finance team members, and cross-functional teams, to ensure understanding on financial goals and objectives.
System and Process Improvement : Find ways to improve financial processes.
Mentorship and Leadership : Provide support to junior analysts and other team members.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements:
Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service
Demonstrated experience in financial statement and management reporting.
Demonstrated experience with complex financial and operational analysis.
Extensive knowledge and understanding of forecasting techniques, statistical analysis, data modeling, and data mining.
Extensive knowledge and understanding of insurance accounting and operations.
Preferred Experience:
Expense and Profit & Loss management.
Oracle Essbase/Hyperion, Workday, Excel, Looker Studio or Tableau.

In this flex office/home role, you will be expected to work a minimum of 10 days per month from one of the following office locations: Madison, WI 53783; Boston, MA 02110; Denver, CO 80112; Eden Prairie, MN 55343; Keene, NH 03431; St. Joseph, MO 64507; Phoenix, AZ 85034.
Candidates may be eligible for relocation based on the needs of the role.
