This position will be based at the San Lorenzo facility for approximately 3 months following the start date. Subsequently, the position will be based at the Manatí facility. Ethicon is expanding its manufacturing operations to Manatí, Puerto Rico. Resources hired will work in San Lorenzo temporarily until the Manatí Manufacturing Facility is operational.

The Training Coordinator will provide clerical/administrative support to the Training and Development function. Responsible for the record keeping and training documentation, including the computerized employee training and tracking system. Analyzes data as requested by management. Ensures data is accurate through periodic inspection. Coordinates class arrangements, facilities, catering and facilitators for training programs. Organizes and delivers materials such as participant materials, tent cards, visual aids for all workshops.

Responsibilities:

  • Executes and/or coordinates training plan for production areas assigned in alignment with Operations.

  • Conducts New Hire Orientation as needed (theory and practical)

  • Maintains Training Reports & Records (training logbooks, qualification reports)

  • Manages Training Curriculum applicable to their designated area.

  • Enters data into the Learning Management System if needed.

  • Guide the organization in the preparation of functional training curricula in operations for the area.

  • Provides support as a guide in the electronic training system, administration of training curricula and records during audits and inspections.

  • Can create procedures and / or collaborate in relation to the training processes (administration of training curricula, training registers, training within an industry, OP Cert, archive, external regulatory agencies, operator certification, audit processes etc.)

  • Representative in the program training department of the company and can act as representative to internal and external auditors.

  • Works in conjunction with the departments of the plant to develop a training program that meets the requirements of each job.

  • Creates, reviews, and approves Certification exams on Compliance Wire based on the operator certification process.

  • Ensures that all activities are properly documented in accordance with the OpCert Certification program by maintaining a suitable record available for audits.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of an Associate Degree is required.

  • At least four to six (4 to 6) years of experience in related field or experience in training department is preferred.

  • Availability to work overtime, various work schedules, which may include 1st, 2nd, 3rd shifts and/or 12-hour daily shifts, including weekends and holidays is required.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills are required.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office —Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are required.

  • Knowledge in learning management system (Compliance Wire and Summit) is required.

  • Availability to be able to work flexible schedules occasionally to accommodate training delivery needs is required.

  • Availability to travel 10% of the time between Ethicon Locations, Domestic and/or international travel is required.
