The CustomerCare Specialist handles inbound and outbound calls from internal and external customers to respond to inquiries and resolve concerns and questions. Responds promptly and follows up on customer interactions as needed and assists with obtaining missing insurance or diagnosis information utilizing available resources.

PrimaryResponsibilities:

  • First contact within billing call queue to respond to patient questions / concerns

  • Work collaboratively with cross functional teams to resolve patient issues

  • Work cooperatively as part of a team environment and assist in other reimbursement functions as needed

  • Ability to demonstrate outstanding customer service skills

  • Solid organizational skills with the ability to handle conflicting priorities

  • Good communication skills / written and verbal, possess critical thinking skills, self - motivated, punctual and reliable

  • Perform additional tasks as required

Requirements:

  • High school diploma / GED or higher

  • 1+ year of customer service experience

  • Basic Mathematical skills

  • Experience in using Microsoft Suite including Microsoft Excel (create, sort, and edit data in spreadsheets), Microsoft Word (ability to create documents and complete mail merging), Microsoft Outlook (ability to manage email, calendar, and task lists)

  • Demonstrate strong PC navigation and analytical skills, prioritization, and time management skills

PreferredQualifications:

  • Call center experience

  • Experience with health insurance programs

  • Bilingual – English and Spanish

Soft Skills:

  • Must be flexible, able to effectively multi - task, and work effectively in a fast - paced, high volume work environment, dependable and possess the ability to work well with independently as well as part of a team

  • Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills
