The intern would work with GSSA's data analytics team using AI and data analytics principles to better understand sophisticated AE data. This project would analyze text data from consumer complaints to resolve if there is sufficient data for advanced text analytics in P&G products. Advanced text analytics such as aggregation of consumer comments into summarized topics has been used on a very small proportion of P&G products in the past, but it has been met with excellent interest by the OU's and proven as an innovative approach to contextualizing the symptomatic case count data that GSSA provides. This project would attempt to quantify how much text P&G receives from a complaint based on the product and identify where these text analytics might best serve the business with accelerated knowledge gains by summarizing real-world consumer voices into topics relevant to the issue with the product. This project would allow for deeper understanding of the consumer's experience with the product that resulted in their contact with P&G!

Job Qualifications

Currently pursuing a PharmD or a PhD in a STEM field such as or other Life Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or Chemistry, with particular expertise in Data Science. Specific experience in text analytics is highly desirable.

  • Skills possessed by the qualified PhD/PharmD candidate would include: data analytics knowledge,

  • sophisticated problem-solving skills,

  • project management skills,

  • presentation skills

  • the ability to optimally collaborate with a diverse group.
