Hilton Assistant Managing Director, Intermediary Group Sales in McLean, Virginia

As an Assistant Managing Director, Intermediary Group Sales, you will support the team responsible for providing a differentiated selling platform for Hilton's diverse portfolio of brands by being relentlessly motivated to grow market share. On the Intermediary Group Sales team reporting to the Executive Director, Hilton Worldwide Sales, you will lead one of Travel Management Company's strategies. You will identify ways to develop and lead these accounts to drive revenue and incremental market share growth and have three direct reports. HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.

What your day-to-day will be like:

  • Manage a team of three high performers.
  • Create and execute TMC strategy.
  • Communicate with all stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Aggregate client account-based growth data and evaluate areas of opportunity.
  • Analyze industry trends weekly, monthly, and annually, compare data with previous years' results, and forecast future account-based growth rates.
  • Ensure your client's daily needs are met while identifying viable opportunities to improve operational and financial performance through targeted initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Hilton Direct Partnership Team Members and Hilton Worldwide Sales Specialists to drive total account value and provide total client solutions.
  • Use knowledge of customer procurement strategies, structure, and businesses, and educate our hotels to help them position their solutions.
  • Be the subject matter authority for all brands
  • Provide accurate forecasting and delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
  • Develop account plans tailored to each client.
  • Support Hilton Direct Leadership in providing account-specific coaching activities for Hilton Direct Partners to increase sales and use our CRM program.
  • Build action plans to generate leads and mining opportunities within existing accounts to drive incremental revenue.
  • Network with business decision-makers and executives to influence buying decisions.
  • Understand industry trends that impact customer buying patterns and offer innovative solutions.
  • Prepare quarterly business reviews with Senior Leadership
  • Oversee and operationalize the Preferred Partnership Agreement
  • Oversee the Sponsorship opportunities with each Account
  • Train and work with hotel partners and other HWS teams on partnering with you and how to market to the Account

How you will collaborate with others:

  • Work cross-functionally with other departments, such as marketing, Honors, the brands, our hotels, and your customers. Collaborating with colleagues from different functions ensures alignment and a holistic approach to customer needs.
  • Use a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system to track interactions and collaborate on customer accounts.
  • Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews and joint sales calls with colleagues or managers. This will allow you to learn from each other, share best practices, and address customer concerns.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking sessions. Building relationships with potential clients and partners is crucial.

What deliverables you will take ownership of:

  • Revenue generation and live our Hilton Values.
  • Create and execute our TMC strategy.
  • Work with the Executive Director to ensure the overarching group intermediary strategy is deployed.
  • Lead four QBRs per account per year.
  • Lead a team of three sales professionals.

WHY YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT

You have these minimum qualifications:

  • Seven (7) years of Hotel Sales experience
  • Three (3) years of Hotel Leadership Sales experience (including people management)
  • Travel as required (40%)

It would be useful if you have:

  • BA/BS Bachelor’s Degree and/or MA/MS Master’s Degree
  • Hilton Worldwide Sales experience
  • Ten (10) years of Hotel Sales experience
  • Five (5) years of Hotel Leadership Sales experience
  • Flexibility to travel with minimal notice; available to work evenings and weekends as needed
