Hilton Manager, Executive Communications in McLean, Virginia

Our Global Communications organization is responsible for protecting and elevating Hilton's reputation, driving brand and consumer communications, inspiring and engaging Team Members, and connecting owners and other partners with Hilton’s purpose and business goals.
What will I be doing?
As Manager, Chief Brand Officer Executive Communications, you will help drive global communications for Hilton’s Chief Brand Officer and senior Brand leaders. In partnership with the Director, CBO Executive Communications, you will support the strategic positioning of the CBO and other senior Brand leaders to reach key audiences, enhancing Hilton's reputation and helping drive critical business outcomes. This role will serve as an integral dot connector between the Global Brand Organization and Global Corporate Affairs Organization.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Draft key materials, including internal leadership communications (emails, talking points, etc.), media briefs, video shoots, and regional tours.
- Help craft the strategy and manage the execution of the CBO and other key brand leaders’ social media profiles, including editorial planning, content development, and analytics reporting.
- Staff the CBO and senior brand leaders as needed at select events.
- Work with the Director, CBO Executive Communications, to compile weekly updates from the Communications team to the CBO and key brand leaders.
- Alongside the Director, CBO Executive Communications represent Executive Communications to the broader Internal, Executive & Owner Communications team and on cross-functional teams where CBO or other Brand leader voices are needed.
- Develop a culture of continuous improvement, regularly reviewing and evaluating communication performance of initiative and adjusting strategy as required.
- Be a positive and solution-focused leader not just for the internal communications team but for the entire Comms organization.
What are we looking for?
Success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:
- Shown expertise in executive and/or internal communications
- Outstanding writing skills
- Creativity, with experience across all forms of content creation, and comfortable with graphic design and editing
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, problem solve, think strategically, connect dots, and implement efficiently
- Demonstrated social media management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, problem-solve and affect positive change while maintaining a high level of flexibility, professionalism, and integrity
- Self-starter who takes initiative with minimal direction
To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:
- Five (5) years of professional experience
- Four (4) years of experience in internal or external communications, public relations, journalism, or related fields
- Three (3) years of project management experience
- Experience with a large global organization and/or a mid-to large-size communications agency; experience working with or leading agency partners, internal teams, and cross-functional working groups
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
It would be useful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
- BA/BS bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, or a related field
