As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer , you will bring your technical skills to a hospitality company with an award-winning culture. On the SRE team reporting to Principal Cloud Platform Engineering, you will support projects including cloud infrastructure optimization, monitoring/dashboard development, and cloud automation initiatives.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.

What your day-to-day will be like:

• Work with operations and architecture team to troubleshoot any issues
• Write code for global infrastructure services
• Partner with leadership and operations to expand observability of Hilton Hybrid Cloud
• Gather and analyze metrics from operating systems (Linux and Windows) as well as cloud platforms (AWS and Ali) to assist in performance tuning and fault finding.
• Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning.

How you will collaborate with others:

• Weekly cloud standup and planning meetings
• Work with Hilton technology teams across the enterprise, primary cloud vendors, and observability vendors
• Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning.

What projects you will take ownership of:

• Reliability initiatives and observability projects
• Infrastructure optimization projects

WHY YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT

You have these minimum qualifications:

• Three (3) years of professional experience in Technology or a related field
• Experience developing infrastructure modules using Terraform
• Extensive understanding of Amazon Web Services or other cloud providers from an infrastructure perspective (VPC networking, EC2, EKS, ELB, etc.)
• Experience identifying problems, performance bottlenecks, and areas for improvement
• Experience utilizing Datadog or similar monitoring platform
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems
• Travel up to 10%

It would be useful if you have:

• Bachelor’s Degree, or Associate’s Degree plus 6 years of Technology related experience, or High School Degree/GED plus 12 years of Technology related experience
• Five (5) years of professional experience in Technology or a related field
• Current Cloud Certifications
• One (1) years of experience writing automation scripts in at least one of the following languages: BASH, PowerShell, JavaScript
• Experience managing large fleets of Linux / Windows systems
