Job Description

Avery Dennison is seeking a Senior Product Manager to join the Materials Group Marketing organization. The Senior PM is responsible for planning and owning the P&L and commercial strategy for the Rigid Films product lines in North America. The successful candidate will provide vision and direction to the organization and drive action and execution to achieve the strategic and P&L goals for these product portfolios.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop strategic and annual operating plans and lead efforts of a cross-functional team to meet evolving customer and market needs.

  • Implement a portfolio management approach to assigned products to optimize growth and profitability incorporating global approach where logical.

  • Lead customer and internal communication strategy and implementation including advertising, promotions, selling tools, e-marketing campaigns, and lead generation tools.

  • Lead execution of multi-generation product plans including: new product introductions and line extensions, identifying ideas for growth thru merger & acquisition, product re-engineering and cost out, product promotions, data sheets, selling sheets, training and other sales tools and communication of product and service program changes.

  • Develop & implement pricing strategies to improve product line growth & profitability.

  • Collaborate with customers, sales force, technical solutions teams, business development managers and other LGM businesses to support growth and/or product development ideas and initiatives.

  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and Sales in the development/implementation of service strategies & programs for assigned product line

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred.

  • 8+ years related business experience, including sales and marketing.

  • Expertise in pressure sensitive label materials/markets or comparable manufacturing industry preferred.

  • Ability to provide support and excitement among an informal, cross-functional team in a matrixed organization.

  • Strong financial and business acumen with a proven track record of results.

  • Shown project leadership. Six Sigma or Black Belt a plus.

  • Experience with product development and product commercialization processes.

  • Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation abilities.

  • Strong partnership and relationship building skills.

  • Possess leadership, coaching, training and project management experience and skills

  • Excellent organizational, people, and project management skills, with an ability to openly convey information to team members in a timely, concise manner.

  • Experience in strategic leadership.

  • Strong customer focus and orientation.

  • 20% - 30% Travel
