Project Overview:

Bechtel is among the most respected engineering, project management, and construction companies in the world. The Bechtel renewables team will perform project management, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup for utility-scale photovoltaic generating plants throughout various locations in the US.

Job Summary:

The Project Accountant will oversee Accounts Payable, Craft payroll, Timekeeping & Project accounting duties as directed at the jobsite for the Project working closely with the offsite shared services teams and Infra Financial Services Manager group. #LI-NP1

Major Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with organizations in Reston and BBS Service centers to ensure the efficient operation of accounts payable and address and resolve any accounts payable issues.

• Interface with subcontracts and procurement organizations as well as suppliers to identify concerns and resolve issues related to supplier invoicing; perform periodic audits of subcontractors.

• Monitoring of invoice approvals, hold reports and escalation of unresolved and/or aged items on a timely basis.

• Overseeing all timekeeping duties at the jobsite including the badging and set up and operation of the Etrack time recording system including providing assistance to the payroll team to resolve issues.

• Reporting out on project performance and any project finance-related activities and managing any internal/external audit requirements and any local/state tax reporting.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Minimum 12 years experience in Project Accounting roles.

• Must have legal right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

• Proficiency with Oracle Financials and Microsoft Office applications.

• Proficiency with Etrack and the Badge Scanning interface.

• Prior experience on a direct-hire construction project.

• Knowledge of the procurement and contracts processes and interface with Finance.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work autonomously.
