Position: Production Artist

Job Type: Full Time, Local, Hybrid-Office

About us:

Our in-house creative team gets to work with all of Brunswick’s top brands! We get the first look at the latest in marine technology, innovation and comfort to create digital, print, video and other collateral. Our mission is to engage and welcome all—including those currently underrepresented in our industry—to the water.

The Production Artist will assist the creative team in the production of printed materials, catalogs, packaging, trade show booths, display ads, paid social assets, web graphics, emails and more. They will collaborate with graphic designers to format artwork, ensure print quality standards and digital specifications are met, and will prepare, review and release files. They will also be a critical partner in maintaining our image library.

Duties:

  • Collaborate closely with designers, writers and project managers

  • Implement copy and design edits; create additional sizes of approved designs; produce error-free final files

  • Pre-flight and package files for release to printers

  • Prepare final files for use in digital media, including animation

  • Upload and archive photo assets in the DAM; maintain file naming conventions, keywords and metadata

  • Work with designers and printers to troubleshoot and resolve file issues that arise during production

  • Understand and adhere to brand guidelines

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in design or related

  • 1-2 years of design or production experience with a design firm, ad agency or in-house creative team

  • Strong typographic skills and strict attention to detail

  • Outstanding organizational, project management, file-organization and archiving skills

  • Experience preparing final files for print and digital projects

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office applications

  • Skilled in Photoshop, with photo editing and color-correction skills

  • Highly collaborative, with excellent verbal and written and communication skills

  • Able to work effectively under pressure, prioritizing multiple tasks while maintaining a positive attitude

Nice to have:

  • Prior experience using Adobe Asset Manager, with experience in creating and/or managing a Digital Asset Management System

  • Experience using Creatopy and developing animated ads; knowledge of animation best practices

  • Knowledge of HTML5, Adobe After Effects and web-development software
