Sr. Manager, Enterprise Event Strategy and Operations

Job Description

Reporting to the Director, Enterprise Marketing Operations, the Sr. Manager, Enterprise Event Strategy and Operations is a detail-oriented marketing professional responsible for assisting in the planning and coordination of Brunswick events across its portfolio of brands, primarily aimed at driving cross-functional efficiencies in planning and execution.

Partnering with division event leadership, the Sr. Manager, Enterprise Event Strategy and Operations is a highly organized individual with experience in conference management, external vendor selection and management, tradeshows, events, and marketing communications. In this role, the successful candidate will lead the management of cross division event operations, development, and execution of event objectives, setting and measuring key metrics for success, and assisting in the operational planning and outcomes for each event. On-site execution and travel may be required for some large-scale meetings and events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identifies opportunities to improve and/or develop cross-division process and governance to aid in better collaboration and cost-management

  • Manages aspects of medium to large, complex programs through their entire lifecycle (initiation, planning, execution, closure)

  • Reviews, negotiates, and administers contracts with hotels, tradeshows, exhibit houses, and other suppliers

  • Responsible for assisting in the development, maintenance, and tracking of budgets associated with events and event operations at the portfolio level to maximize efficiencies across the Company

  • Ensures all milestones are met over the course of the planning period, aligned to the Enterprise level objectives

  • Documents and maintains meeting expenditures and other post-meeting, coordinates business consolidated reporting to senior leadership for major show formats

  • Superior time management skills to effectively balance multiple projects at different stages

  • Cultivates and develops relationships with key personnel in various areas across the Company including division marketing and category teams, procurement, accounting, legal and information technology, as well as a host of external vendors

  • This candidate will work closely with Brunswick’s Brand and Division Event teams to secure product and logistics support where needed as well as other stakeholders for event support such as marketing, HR, and more

  • Must have the ability to see the big picture while simultaneously keeping an eye on important details

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 10 or more years of marketing experience

  • Passion for the Brunswick portfolio of brands and creating memorable experiences for our customers

  • Ability to perform well in a highly dynamic, diverse, and rapidly changing environment

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team

  • Experience defining program requirements and using metrics to determine improvements

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
