Job Title: Customer Service Executive, Central Grocery* Region* * Job Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan* * * This position is fully remote anywhere in the Central Region-Illinois, Kansas, Michigan etc. * Position Summary:* The Customer Sales Executive (CSE) is responsible for profitably growing the Hershey’s Salty Snacks Central region business to achieve objectives and plans, including net sales, market share, and trade spend. Responsibilities include managing a broker team to develop and implement strategic account plans to grow revenue and retail programs within company guidelines. The CSE, will accomplish this through business planning & analysis, and achieving mutually beneficial agreements through skilled negotiation and understanding of the customer’s business. * Responsibilities:* * Direct oversight of achieving financial results at assigned customers and aligning Hershey Salty Snack brand strategies * Develop and implement strategic account plans to grow revenue and retail programs within company guidelines and budgets * Lead routine and ad-hoc brand specific business and customer analyses (i.e.: brand performance, competitive analysis, consumer tracking, customer/shopper tracking, shipment, customer spins and other analyses) incorporating varied data sources (i.e.: POS, panel, Spectra, etc.) * Identify and lead the development of retailer solutions for base business and/or innovation through the integration of consumer, shopper, marketplace and business insights gleaned from data sources and business analysis * Collaborate with cross-functional internal and sales teams in coordinating transparent customer sales planning, volume forecasting and trade reporting * Development and execution of custom co-marketing programs aligning with customer shopper activation strategy * Manage outside vendors and agencies for maximum engagement, support, effectiveness and efficiency * Manage, Develop & Partner with assigned broker to execute promotional planning, trade system accuracy, customer administrative duties and necessary selling materials. * Responsibilities:* * Manage Broker team to achieve net sales, market share, trade spend, and sales activity margin targets for assigned customers by simulating and planning incremental volume and pre and post analysis as well as displaying core competencies and behaviors. This includes judiciously managing and allocating trade funds (maintaining compliance with all Sarbanes Oxley policies) to achieve profitable sales growth. * Effectively utilize Hershey’s analytical tools (e.g., PlanEx, Circana, etc.) and processes to drive profitable and predictable sales results. * Build and maintain appropriate sales plans in PlanEx. * Manage trade fund budget. * Monitor and control customer expenses to include Waste and supply chain costs. * Partner with Broker team category teams/tools to provide category analysis and consumer insights to customers. * Partner with internal cross functional teams (Hershey Category, SRGM, Sales planning etc.) to drive efficient growth. * Qualifications:* * BA/BS Degree * Minimum 5 years related industry experience with CPG company * Proven experience and strong understanding of channel dynamics, relationships required * Past work experience with serving major clients is highly desirable. * Past experience working with a Broker is highly desirable. * Strong understanding of category management/shopper insights practices and principles (Circana, HH Panel, Spectra etc) * Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access) * Extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish sales goals * Exceptional leadership, presentation, strategy development, communication and influencing skills. * Proven track record of sales success including exceeding sales targets and strategic alignment with retailers. * Successful growth of national branded consumer packaged goods * Strong understanding of P&L dynamics * Strategic channel insights and ability to drive effective customer and channel planning processes * Ability to interpret data and determine key actions in response. * Superior communication skills, both verbal and written * Ability to be effective in highly volatile and ever-changing marketplace * Demonstrated analytical, collaborative and consultative abilities * Ability to travel 40% of time. * Qualifications:* * _ Education:_ Bachelor's degree strongly preferred. * _ Experience:_ At least 5 years relevant sales experience. #LI-MB1 #LI-Remote The Hershey Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
