We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Master Electrician to join our team and provide electrical support across multiple different sites: Midland, Larkin, Hemlock, Auburn Hills, and Hillsdale.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all electrical support needs including capital projects, minor capital work, and ongoing maintenance tasks. This position requires a thorough understanding of electrical systems, compliance with safety regulations, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues efficiently.

This role will be based in Midland, MI , and will require travel to support multiple other facilities within Michigan.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Electrical Permitting: Maintain annual electrical permit with the City of Midland, managed internal electrical permitting process, perform internal permit inspections, and close out permits after completion of final inspections. Function as a liaison between DuPont and the City/Township officials for all DuPont facilities within Michigan. Escort City/Township officials performing inspections within DuPont facilities.

  • Electrical Project Management: Consulting support for electrical aspects of capital projects from conception to completion, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards, and providing guidance on electrical equipment selections.

  • Maintenance Support: Provide ongoing maintenance support for electrical systems, equipment, and controls at all Michigan sites to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency. Review and optimize electrical equipment predictive and preventive maintenance tasks, and work with electrical services providers on planning of large-scale outages to ensure planned maintenance tasks are completed with minimal production interruption.

  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and rectify electrical issues in a timely manner to keep operations running smoothly. Provide advanced troubleshooting for VFDs and high energy electrical equipment.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to identify electrical needs and provide solutions that align with operational goals.

  • Code Compliance: Ensure all electrical installations and repairs are conducted in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company standards and policies.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of electrical work completed, including one-line drawings, schematics, and maintenance logs.

  • Safety Management: Function as the Site Electrical Safety Professional for all sites within Michigan and ensure adherence to safety protocols and promote a culture of safety among team members; conduct risk assessments, as necessary. Lead assessments for EWP-13 and EWP-30 related work.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited electrical program preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial electrical work, with a focus on maintenance and project support.

  • Licenses/Certifications: Valid Master Electrician license required for the State of Michigan; additional certifications (e.g., OSHA, NEC) are a plus.

  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and safety practices.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve issues independently.

  • Programming capability for VFD’s.

  • Excellent communication and people skills to consult with various teams.
