Key Responsibilities:

The candidate uses their engineering education, experience, and resourcefulness to be a technical liaison in a leadership role between JJSV engineering and external manufacturers. Supports external manufacturers to ensure external manufacturing processes are continuously improved upon order to produce products safely and efficiently that meet all quality, compliance, cost, and delivery requirements. Prevents or minimizes unplanned downtime. Provides support to identify, procure, qualify, and integrate key manufacturing tools, equipment, processes, and systems.

In this role, the candidate will investigate product and process quality in order to make improvements to achieve better customer satisfaction, and lead all aspects of continuous improvement projects. Improving and designing production electronic testing equipment for internal manufacturing and working with external suppliers to generate and optimize PCBA testing. Detailed working knowledge in areas such as data analytics, statistics, and Six Sigma/Lean methodologies. The candidate must be able to develop and apply mathematical or statistical theory and methods to collect, organize, interpret, and summarize numerical data to provide usable and actionable information. Document, verify, and validate mechanical, optical, and electrical designs and their related processes. Planning and implementing component qualifications, sampling plans, and test strategies. Support new product transfer activities, including process qualification and supplier component processes.

Qualifications

Education:

  • B.S. Electrical Engineer required.

Required:

  • An engineering professional who applies scientific knowledge, engineering knowledge, mathematics, and ingenuity to complete assignments related to a specific technical field or subject area.

  • PCBA Functional Tester experience with PCBA DFM Knowledge.

  • Capable of designing, performing and interpreting the results of Gage R&R.

  • Capable of leading EOL electronics projects. Identifies and quantifies technical risks and their consequences relative to the success of part of a project; recommends appropriate action, e.g. reports calculations and recommendations in terms concrete enough for management to make an informed decision.

  • Manufacturing / Process Engineering experience

  • Six Sigma and Lean experience / certification with strong data analysis skills.

  • Understanding of different sources of variation (Special Cause vs. Common Cause) that can occur in manufacturing.

  • Experience with Minitab statistical software or equivalent.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred:

  • Practical experience in running multiple small scale projects

  • Strong presentation skills and ability to articulate complex technical issues to executive management

  • Project Management experience in leading moderate to highly complex technical programs

Other:

  • The anticipated base pay range for this position is $89,000 to $140,185.

  • This role may require up to 10% travel.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
