We are hiring an Engineering CAD Liaison to support the engineering and design groups. This position is an integral part of our team and will be the focal resource for Creo and Windchill application solutions working inside our engineering Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) space as they pertain to program requirements. As the Engineering CAD Liaison, you will provide the user community with effective guidance and solutions in response to a diverse spectrum of questions regarding the use of a complex design tool.
This position can be located at Minneapolis, MN, or Sterling Heights, MI.

As the Engineering CAD Liaison, you will:
Be the primary resource for expert advice, support, and problem resolution for engineering Programs in the use of CAD and PDM software.
Participate in engineering functional and program meetings to assure proficiency, understanding of program requirements, address user issues, inform programs of Creo/PDM known bugs, upcoming enhancements, or changes.
Maintain a close relationship with other support organizations and stay informed regarding IT's near term business plans that may impact Program execution.
Review Request for Quote s (RFQ's), Request for Proposal s (RFP's) or Program Contracts for specific requirements that that may be detrimental, extremely time consuming, incompatible with our current architecture or bad practices.
Effectively maintain a current understanding of the ASME Y14 and company standards as they apply to models and drawings.
Maintain knowledge of Creo/Windchill system infrastructure and architecture.
Maintain and continuously improve application software knowledge and skill base.
Create and maintain Program specific Creo start parts, drawing format templates, ModelCheck configurations, drawing and distribution notes per Programs contractual requirements.
Work with model-based systems engineering teams to create Model Based Definition (MBD) tools and templates.
Support with Adobe software in the creation of 3D templates.
Maintain an understanding of JAVA Script and Anark software.
Assist in Config.pro and DTL files, relations, Creo symbols and mapkey development inside Creo software.
Create and maintain Creo material note library, bill of material tables, create custom Creo symbols and assisting in the automation of parameter modifications following all required standards.
Attend conferences as needed to stay on top of latest industry trends.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor s degree in engineeringor 4 years additional experience in lieu of degree.
Experience as the primary resource for expert advice, support, and problem resolution for engineering Programs in the use of CAD and PDM software (such as Windchill).
Strong troubleshooting skills, customer focus, excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex solutions.
8 years relevant experience including:
Administrating CAD for engineering teams.
Real-time embedded software development or testing.
Use of version control and issue tracking tools.
Practical knowledge and experience with applicable engineering processes.
Contemporary design/development program experience.
Excellent teamwork, technical writing, written communication, and oral communication skills.
Technical leadership and management including project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closeout.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Experience in military vehicle program and architecture.
Working knowledge of CMMI.
Ada and/or C development experience.
Experience in vehicle networking protocol tools such as CAN, Ethernet, and their associated diagnostic tools.
Hold a Cyber Security Certification.
Genius Tool configuration.
DFM Pro tool support.
Anark software configuration.
Creo Illustrate.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $130355 - $221603
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
