What Territory Management contributes to Cardinal Health

Territory Management is responsible for driving sales and services to new and/or existing customers through face-to-face, virtual, and telephone contact to meet individual and organizational sales objectives. Responsible for cold calling, prospecting, and building relationships that will increase account penetration, revenue growth and customer satisfaction within a specified product line, business segment and/or geography. Focus areas will include driving new business as well as increasing penetration in existing accounts.

OptiFreight™ Logistics is the leading provider of Inbound, Outbound, and Less than Truckload (LTL) Shipping and freight management services for the Healthcare sector.

Accountabilities

  • Achieve performance targets across assigned portfolio by generating new business, increasing account penetration, and retention of current customer base

  • Acting as lead point of contact across assigned portfolio of current OptiFreight Logistics customers as it pertains to shipping, logistics, and general service needs

  • Collaborate with Cardinal Health business units to identify new opportunities across existing and new customer base

  • Support cross functional teamwork – Finance, Operations, Marketing, etc.

  • Lead customer business reviews and discovery calls on routine basis articulating value and financial outcomes of opportunities

  • Responsible for overall account performance, deal modeling, and contracting strategies

  • Leverage CRM to support disciplined pipeline management and performance forecasting of key metrics

  • Builds and fosters strong, productive customer partnerships focused on ensuring customer success and retention; develops a trusted advisor relationship with key stakeholders and executive sponsors

  • Stays abreast of the changing healthcare landscape, logistics innovations, and supply chain trends to maintain a deep understanding of the customer experience

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Solution-based sales or direct customer-facing experience preferred

  • Ability to travel up to 50%

  • Demonstrated financial acumen, including complex negotiation, strategic and analytical skills

  • Strong background in complex selling situations, and ability to cultivate and maintain client relationships to achieve business objectives

  • Ability to analyze complex business issues and lead the development of customized action plans to drive value for the customer and Cardinal Health

  • Adaptability and strong problem-solving skills

  • Excel & Powerpoint proficiency

  • Work reviewed for sound reasoning and accuracy

Anticipated pay range: $85,500 - $110,800 (includes targeted variable pay)
