The Opportunity
This position works out of our Sylmar, CA location in the Cardiac Rhythm Management division.
As a global leader in Cardiac Rhythm Technologies, we focus on innovative technologies that can improve the way doctors treat people with heart arrhythmias, or irregular heartbeats.
The Electrical Engineer I performs entry-level activities to design and develop the layout, construction, and evaluation of a variety of prototype Printed
Circuit Boards, fixtures, and tools. Identifies and routinely uses the most effective and cost-efficient business practices to
execute processes. Promotes the process of continuous quality improvement and risk management and coordinates solutions
for technical and project issues. Applies engineering and scientific principles to the evaluation and solution of technical
problems. Exercises independent judgment in planning and organizing work; monitors performance and reports status.
Identifies and routinely uses the most effective, cost efficient and best practices to execute processes; continually evaluates
their effectiveness and appropriateness.
What You'll Work On
This position:
Provides supporting services and tooling at the direction of senior engineers and scientists.
Lays out and constructs a variety of prototype tools and fixtures required for development purposes.
Conducts evaluations, tests and analyses related to feasibility and function.
Performs troubleshooting and fault isolation activities on a variety of breadboards and hybrids.
Conducts measurements specified in design verification plans, documents and tabulates results, and provides engineering test reports.
Documents custom tools with specifications, schematics and mechanical layouts to support document control and tool release.
Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors Degree In electrical/electronic engineering orrelated engineering field OR an equivalent combination of education and work experience
Some or A minimum of six months of relevant work experience in performing the layoutconstruction, andevaluation of a variety of Printed Circuit Boards, fixtures and tools.
Demonstrated ability to understand and comply with applicable FDA regulations andCompanyoperating procedures, processes, policies and tasks.
Demonstrated personal computer skills and ability to perform basic word processing/spreadsheet tasksto perform documentation, presentation, and analysis activities.
Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model preferred.
Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changingenvironment.
Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects.
Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate atmultiple levels in theorganization.
Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner.
Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.

The base pay for this position is $72,100.00 – $114,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
