We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced HS&E Leader with 3-5 years of work experience to join our team at our 1.3MM square foot distribution and customer fulfillment center in Morris, IL (Greater Chicago area).

Meaningful work on Day 1 We are seeking a highly motivated leader who will make a difference in creating the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) capability and systems while improving HS&E results. Our Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) organization is a critical component of our business and plays an integral role in delivering our results through strengthening our compliance to all laws and regulations. This role is key to delivering the HS&E business objectives, including benchmark personnel safety results, adherence to all laws and regulations, and continuing HS&E education.
What will you do?
The successful individual will build site HS&E capability to meet P&G expectations, lead various action plan focus items, and implement regulatory compliance programs. The individual will provide site single point of contact leadership, including training and qualifying site resources to develop their mastery. The individual selected must come with in-depth technical mastery of HS&E systems and work processes and is expected to grow capability in other HS&E areas while in the role
Focus areas include, but are not limited to:
Operational HS&E leadership to develop HS&E programs, capability, and systems
HS&E Program improvements and management of the HS&E systems (ie. Environmental – air, water, waste management systems, Other Environmental System, Process Safety, Machine Safety, and Industrial Hygiene)
Data analysis, trending and identifying key improvement areas, including making efficient use of the new HS&E database systems
Training and capability building via content and/or structure changes
Coaching of leadership, systems owners, technicians
Understanding and working with state-of-the-art robotics and cutting-edge technologies including self-guided vehicles, automated storage and retrieval systems, automated picking solutions, and advanced warehouse management systems
Job Qualifications
We are seeking individuals with the following qualities:
Ability to influence resources at all levels of the organization, both internal and external, to improve HS&E performance
A strong leader, who can set the direction for the site and for others which includes the pursuit of results as it relates to long-term HS&E and sustainability performance
Experience in regulatory program and compliance management, interpreting regulatory requirements, and developing solutions to meet those requirements
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Demonstrated technical mastery in HS&E disciplines and demonstrated success of applying these skills within a team-based structure, preferably in manufacturing, warehouse or physical distribution environment
Ability to learn additional mastery skills across other HS&E disciplines and ability to coach others across all areas of HS&E expertise
A desire to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with technicians and equipment

QUALIFICATIONS

Have a BS/MS degree in Engineering or safety-related field
Have 3-5 years of full-time work experience in HS&E and their application
A willingness to travel on the job on occasion
A willingness to relocate during your career
