As an International Transportation Analyst, you will have primary responsibility for parts and components shipping inbound to North American manufacturing facilities.

Job duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for data analytics within the International Transportation team supporting global international value streams for parts and components shipments

  • Responsible as Data Custodian (Master Data Owner) for International Transportation data

  • Leverages analytics tools such as Tableau, MS Access, Oracle,PowerBI, and Snowflake to develop reporting that allows Caterpillar to identify value, improve operational excellence, and provides insights to the transportation network

  • Manages International Transportation metric and performance and Tableau dashboards

  • Collaborates with other areas of the organization to provide analytics and establish integrations to drive process excellence

  • Provides ad hoc support to the operations staff in areas such as reporting and data analytics

  • Participates in projects to drive transportation improvements within the network

  • Collaborate with IT teams on data enhancements and data table structure

Additional Information:

Remote work may be considered for a top candidate.

This position does not offer relocation.

This position requires 10% or less travel.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 2+ years of data analytics, data science, information technology, or similar type experience

  • Demonstrated experience withPowerBI, Tableau, MS Access, Advanced Excel and SQL

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Proven customer focus and time management skills

  • Ability to work independently

Top Candidates Will Always Have:

  • Previous experience in supply chain, logistics, transportation, or import/export operations

  • Strong experience in programming languages, statistics, or computer science

  • Project leadership experience or project leadership training
