The Opportunity

As an Accountant at Caterpillar, you are responsible to independently perform accounting functions which require preparation, analysis, and communication of issues of normal to high complexity that support Caterpillar business processes. This position supports the Engine Systems and Drivetrain engineering organizations within the Large Power Systems Division.

What You Will Do:

• Provide LPSD engineers with PAC2 and RETR system support to enable meaningful project tracking

• Provide analysis on financial results

• Create reports on financial performance for internal and external use.

• Create and utilize automated tools for the updating, analyzing and reporting of consolidated financial results. Identify continuous improvement ideas, develop project plans to implement improvements and understand VOC to ensure needs are met.

What You Have:

Education/Experience : Bachelor’s Degree is typically required

Skills Needed:

Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems. Working level knowledge

Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. Working level knowledge

Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation. Working level knowledge

Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations. Working level knowledge

Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material. Working level knowledge

Financial Reporting: Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports. Working level knowledge

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

• Familiarity with Axiom and PowerBI

• Additional Info:

• This position will be located in Mossville, IL

• This role is a full time, Hybrid position and currently requires 3 days a week in office

• Domestic relocation assistance is available for those who qualify
