Caterpillar Inc. seeks Control Systems Senior Engineer at its facility located at 2427 E Engine Drive, Chillicothe, IL 61523.

Create detailed software specs from high level customer requirements. Define software release content and dates. Coordinate lab validation. Support the proving grounds and the tractor assembly lines. Handle on-site electronics and software support for prove design machine builds. Assist with on-machine electronics testing. Manage the organization of individual subsystem diagrams and software libraries for integration. Manage machine software library development. Integrate software features taken from models and libraries to create software flash files. Handle machine software feature development. Integrate the configuration and calibration data. Conduct test plan development and software validation. Support the communication of software releases, including documentation required by field follow and/or customers for successfully updating software, wiring and components. Identify and resolve software defects and maintain issue list submissions and management.

REQS: This position requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, plus Three (3) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or related occupation in the field of embedded controls development. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Datalinks; (2) Hardware-in-the-Loop testing of embedded controls; (3) Software archive systems; (4) Embedded C code; and (5) Electronic systems development process.

Telecommuting: Hybrid, 40% remote work is allowed.

Summary Pay Range:

$114,566 to $165,840
