About the role:

Our Caterpillar Remanufacturing Division currently has an opening for an Engineering Project Team Leader position located in the Corinth, MS facility or Building AC in Mossville, IL. In this role, you will be a key leader for identifying and developing remanufactured engine and engine component profit improvement opportunities, part margin optimization, and executing focused projects delivering Reman profit improvement.

Job responsibilities will Include but are not limited to:

  • Lead projects on parts margin optimization, New Part Utilization (NPU) reduction process improvements, NPU portfolio management, and inventory management.

  • Review Reman economic return data and identify areas of opportunity to execute specific projects to improve OPACC of major Reman engine and component value streams.

  • Own the implementation of sunset strategy for aging reman parts for actions that include pricing strategy and cancellations.

  • Data gathering, analysis tools, techniques, and processes to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders/sources in an objective manner reaching a conclusion, goal, or judgment.

  • Establishing metrics and maintaining data systems to monitor/review the effectiveness of existing growth strategies, suggesting necessary interventions for improvement.

  • Provide leadership to strategic initiatives to improve the efficiency and process improvements for the business.

Data Gathering & Analysis: Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment.

  • Follows proper data gathering and analysis processes and policies.

  • Reports problems that arise in the data collection process.

  • Participates in gathering and analyzing an organization's data based on requirements.

Product Development Life Cycle: Knowledge of the methodology and associated phases, activities, and deliverables of product development life cycle in manufacturing organizations; ability to bring new or enhanced products to the marketplace.

  • Designs training programs for structured development methodologies.

  • Predicts industry and marketplace trends and directions and cites relevant case studies.

  • Consults on effective application of structured product development methodologies.

  • Leads in establishing policies, strategy, and best practices of product development.

  • Develops multiple product development methodologies.

  • Promotes enterprise experience in product development; recommends and institutes improvements.

Additional Information:

  • The primary location for this role is Corinth, MS or Mossville, Illinois

  • Travel up to 40% is required for this role .

Summary Pay Range:

$126,000.00 - $189,000.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
