Job Summary

Leads development and execution of the mid to long-term Cost leadership Strategy development and execution with the category procurement and business partners for global drivetrain parts. To meet the cost goals within 2-3 years.

What You Will Do

• Collaborate with business partners across the organization and outside consultants to gain industry trends and collect voice of the customer and voice of the business to propose ideas for cost reduction opportunities.

• Create a strategy that meets customer requirements with 2–3-year projections.

• Planning and directing all projects viewed as critical to department and the enterprise.

• Facilitates workshops to identify opportunities and determine action items regarding cost reduction strategy.

• Provides regular insights and reports to department leadership and team.

• Manages metrics, dashboards and supporting management tools in place to monitor performance and develop processes to deliver cost reductions.

What You Will Have

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering or Business Discipline

• Customer Focus: Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.

• Data Gathering & Analysis: Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment.

• Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

• Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

• Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.

• Strategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.

Additional Information

• Location: Mossville IL, or Dallas TX

• Relocation assistance may be provided to the right candidate.

• Travel: Up to 25% of working time

• Six Sigma Black Belt certification

• An MBA Degree

• Experience with cost reduction strategies.
