Job Summary:

As a Software Application Engineer, you will contribute to defining, testing, and deploying Caterpillar's critical feature protection system (FPS) application. You will assist in determining priorities, monitoring development progress, and reporting project status.

What You Will Do:

• Gather and analyze requirements to create and document application software requirement specifications.

• Collaborate with global software development team to convey application requirements and issues.

• Test and assist debugging application software using different tools and methods to improve code quality and optimize system performance.

• Assist with global teams to provide post production users support.

Education requirement:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or information systems.

• Working knowledge of software architecture and Java or similar programming languages.

The location for this position is Mossville, IL

Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position.

This position will require less than 10% travel.
