BAE Systems AEGIS Radar (SPY) Engineer in Mount Laurel, New Jersey

Job Description

Seeking an energetic Engineer to join the Radar (SPY) Product team to work in the development and integration of the Aegis Radar System.This position will be located in Mount Laurel, NJ where Technology and Teamwork come together!

The candidate will provide Radar Engineering and Technical support to the System Engineering Task and will join with an integrated team of engineers, technologists and military veterans dedicated to providing independent quality assessments of developmental computer programs critical to the defense of the United States and Foreign Military Sales.As part of our team, the candidate will learn the processes for development, integration and system testing of the US Navy's Aegis Combat System.

Candidates primary role will involved supporting the U.S. Navy AEGIS TECHREP customer at theRadar (SPY) Product leveland in various technical aspects in support with AEGIS program development to include:

  • Review of technical specifications and related documents to ensure technical accuracy and applicability; participate, witness, and assessment of tests conducted by the program developer, our ESS Test & Evaluation team, and / or other Government agencies often working alongside the U.S. AEGIS Navy TECHREP customer at a Product level

  • Support test development, implementation and execution in Combat Computer System Test Environments

  • Conduct specification requirement reviews and perform test data analysis; analyze and document observed test anomalies and deficiencies; track problem resolutions; and support meetings and report out criteria

Candidate must possess excellent oral and written skills and be able to work independently when required. The candidate must also have a data analysis background and be familiar with reading computer code. At times, flexibility is needed to support short notice testing and / or task to support a Project. Generally, work hours are standard, but some second and / or third shift hours will be required. Little or no travel is expected, but willingness to travel in support of emergent customer needs is required.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  1. Bachelor s degree in engineering in any of the recognized Engineering disciplines.

  2. Possess excellent oral and written skills and must be able to work independently when required

  3. U. S. Citizen and eligible for a high level DOD Security Clearance. Selected candidate will receive a contingent offer and a delayed start date until at least an interim clearance is granted.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  1. Active DoD security clearance

  2. Systems Engineering testing experience

  3. Oral and Technical Writing skills/experience and working knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite, Coding, and Data Analysis/Database (i.e. Jira, DOORs)

  4. Strong interpersonal skills

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $61820 - $105050

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
