The Marketing Specialist supports the company’s growth with a focus on coordination and timely delivery of marketing tactics for AWR within key functions of new customer acquisition. Supports multichannel marketing efforts including direct mail, email, and digital marketing and makes recommendations for process and marketing mix improvement. Manages creative process and approval activities across all medias, paying attention to budget and results of efforts. Produces key reports and analyses. * Key Accountabilities: * / Creative Review & Trafficking - 85%/ • Manage creative schedules to ensure creatives are reviewed and approved through internal processes. Communicate delays and challenges to the group while recommending opportunities for work arounds. • Organize creatives with accurate labeling through each review for clear communication of objectives and versions for reviewers. • Identify and implement improvements to the creative review process. • Mockup creatives with necessary edits in an effective and efficient manner ensuring we stay on schedule and launch dates are not impacted. (Edits may include branding, product information, grammar, spelling, operational processing codes, etc.) • Develop creative briefs for new concepts and work closely with designers to ensure strategy is understood and met in deliverables. • Clearly communicate changes to internal & external teams in an effective & efficient manner to ensure changes are carried out in designs. / Strategy & Collaboration - 15%/ • Support the strategic development framework created by AWR for ongoing updates and research market and industry information to identify indictors that require a revised corporate strategy. • Support the ideation process by working with the team on market research and analysis, product idea brainstorm sessions, industry research, and working to create an innovative culture across the organization. • Participate in creative brainstorms & team discussions and own the creative role providing recommendations for continued improvements. • Participate in presentations on creative designs and strategy. * Education/Experience: * * Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related disciple required * Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related discipline required. At least 1 year experience preferred. * Skills/Knowledge: * * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to develop and maintain relationships/alliances with external and internal client groups. * Manages work complexity through effective prioritization and follow-through. Strong self-structure, organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management. * Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills. Proficiency using various computer applications, particularly MS Office applications, including Outlook and Excel. * Knowledge of marketing and sales cycle. Familiarity with standard business concepts, practices, and procedures. * Familiarity with consumer marketing processes and techniques and a solution-oriented mindset when dealing with problem solving. Experience with Direct mail and Online advertising. * Knowledge in the creation and execution of Marketing tactics. * Knowledge of area demographics and media placement. * Knowledge of evolving marketing channels and best practices including digital. * Knowledge in best practices for customer experience and organizational change for customer focus. * Work Environment: * * Office (Hybrid) 3 days in / 2 days remote (Mt Laurel, NJ or Naperville, IL) * Travel Requirements: * * 10% We currently go to market as American Water Resources, Pivotal Home Solutions, and various regional brands, and we have more than 2 million active customer services in 43 states.
