Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full-time Early Career Aeronautical Engineer. In this role, you will be planning, scheduling, and executing flight test mission requirements. Conducting test missions and performing test mission briefings and debriefings, after meeting qualification requirements. Evaluating results from flight activities and incorporating "lessons learned" into future test activities. Flight Test Engineer supporting the F-35B and F-35C aircraft as a Test Conductor within the F-35 Integrated Test Force (ITF), NAS Patuxent River, Maryland. Position will work with military, contractor, and civil service personnel as members of the flight test team. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of developing and publishing test plans and flight test cards, determining and communicating aircraft test requirements and configuration to responsible engineering, maintenance, instrumentation, and flight operations personnel to ensure aircraft readiness, and complying with published test safety plans and standard operating procedures. Must be a US Citizen.; This position will require a government security clearance.; This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in an Aerospace Engineering

• General understanding of aircraft capabilities and/or flight test techniques

• Must be a US Citizen.; This position will require a government security clearance.; This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Desired Skills:

• Understanding of aircraft capabilities and test techniques for modern fighter aircraft

• Ability to interface with all levels of ITF management.

• Above average and effective communication and coordination skills

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
