THE WORK

The CH53K maintenance team performs a wide variety of repairs, maintenance and modifications to support the USMC fleet.

Receives technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician, with any complex aircraft relevant tasks.

Use of hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment. Support includes disassembling and inspecting parts for wear, cracks, security, or other defects, and repairing or replacing defective parts on or off aircraft. Adjusts, repairs, or replaces structures/ systems and aircraft components, systems, or accessories. Applies comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation or manufacturers' manuals. May be required to make entries in aircraft logs and records. Requires individual workload responsibility to maintain schedules on assigned projects from supervisor. Perform other duties as requested to support overall contract effort or customer Aviation maintenance support. Candidate must be willing to perform other maintenance tasks or assist with logistical needs to support the customer.

Basic Qualifications:

Applicant must have 5 years of experience in an aircraft maintenance environment, with 3yrs experience maintaining aircraft structures and composites. knowledge of aircraft structural repair materials, methodologies, processes, fabrication and modifications are required. Knowledge of composite repair materials, methodologies, processes and modification of primarily carbon fiber are required.

Must be able to research and understand technical data such as Aircraft Maintenance Manuals, Blueprints, Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins and Engineering Work Order Instructions. Must adhere to all company and customer ES&H policies and regulations. Candidate must be a U.S. citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Desired Skills:

- CH53K experience is preferred.

- Familiarity with Sikorsky engineering systems such as Solumina and Matrix is preferred.

-Familiarity with NAVAIR Technical Directives.

-Familiarity with the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP 4790)

-Experience with Optimized Organizational Maintenance Activity system (OOMA) for tracking aircraft work and configuration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: Non- standard 40 hour work week as assigned by leader

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $63,200 - $111,320. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
