Electronic Combat Solutions (ECS) has technology, engineering and program teams that educate and mentor colleagues to deliver leading Electronic Warfare capabilities. Are you an experienced Electrical, Software or Test Design Engineer with 2 years of experience looking for the next step to grow your career? Do you want to design and develop test solutions and/or write test software that is mission critical and be a part of a greater cause? Then, help us protect those that protect us by developing the Next Generation Electronic Warfare Systems Products and Solutions. We need your talent, motivation, and vision to join our New Hampshire based team. BAE Systems has recently been awarded new programs and is currently undergoing an exciting period of growth. We have multiple positions in Southern New Hampshire (our locations include Nashua, Hudson, Merrimack and Manchester).

BAE Systems is searching for a RF Principal Test Engineer with experience in developing automated test software solutions. The ideal candidate would be a motivated self-starter, able to work individually or as part of a team, willing to take direction and be able to communicate effectively.

The ideal candidate would be familiar or experienced in:

  • NI Test Software Tools

  • TestStand

  • LabWindows/CVI Software

  • LabView FPGA

  • JTAG/Boundary Scan

  • Logic Types/Communication Protocols

  • MLVDS

  • RS422/485

  • RS232

  • PCI/PCIe

  • I2C/SPI

  • Proficiency in C# is desirable

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • NI TestStand - TPS Development, Test Executive Development

  • NI LabWindows/CVI Utility and Functional Layer Development, GUI Development

  • Understanding of tools like Xilinx, JTAG, Python

  • Understanding of different logic types/protocols TTL, LVDS, RS422/485, RS232, etc.

  • Hands on debugging/integration experience with lab instrumentation: power supplies, o-scopes, function generator, logic analyzers

  • Knowledge of digital signal processing, statistics, repeatability and correlation analysis a plus

  • Experience with generating/reading/editing Schematics

  • Possess a demonstrated ability in designing, developing, and deploying Test Solutions using NI TestStand and NI LabWindows/CVI applications

  • Possess a demonstrated ability in developing instrument drivers, utilities, and executables used to support testing

  • Software/Test Equipment Integration and Troubleshooting skills

  • Strong problem-solving and analytic skills

  • Self-learner and creative

  • Ability to engage constructively with peers and technical lead to communicate technical approach, trade-offs, and technical decisions

  • Ability to assess test software for reuse potential

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Highly motivated and able to work well in both team and solo settings

  • Experience utilizing configuration management tools

  • Experience in developing software documentation for test requirements, test design, and procedures

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Experience in supporting factory production test stands, debug, problem isolation, and resolution.

  • Experienced in developing solutions that transmit/receive communication signals from UUTs in a myriad of different protocols for production test

  • Ability to perform test solution development:

  • Hardware Focus (test adapters, cables, tools, and interface modules)

  • Software Focus (drivers, utilities, executives, and test software)

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $73370 - $124740

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
