Electronic Combat Solutions (ECS) has technology, engineering and program teams that educate and mentor colleagues to deliver leading Electronic Warfare capabilities. This position will provide proactive leadership across a portfolio of multi-disciplined development programs as well as new business capture efforts focused on winning positions in a competitive acquisition landscape. It relies on the cultivation of strong external and internal relationships at various levels with the US government, prime contractors, and BAE Systems executive ranks to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

Measure and regularly report on strategies, plans, activities, and results to executive leaders; secure senior leadership buy-in and investment. Foster a culture of innovative problem solving, performance excellence, and continuous improvement to deliver affordable, effective, and dependable solutions. Ensure compliance with all Company standards for program excellence, business development and capture, including lifecycle management review processes, security requirements, and DFARS requirements. Attract, develop, and retain high-performing, diverse talent; build future leaders through development, mentoring, and modeling excellence. Lead through inspiration and encouragement to enhance employee performance, engagement, and overall team optimization. Take action and make decisions regarding personnel matters as needed. Demonstrate a leading role in promoting adherence to the company s ethical standards and business practices; ensure compliance with the BAE Systems Operational Assurance Framework and all other policies and requirements; provide for good stewardship of the assets of the business. Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety objectives and policies.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Take responsibility for a team of program managers, executing portfolios of classified contracts for both military and defense contractors

  • Lead two major new start programs for the Electronic Systems sector, orchestrating these captures across diverse business areas and BAE Systems FAST Labs. These programs are expected to quickly transition into EMD and are tremendous opportunities to meet gaps in warfighter capabilities.

  • Provide leadership for new Electronic Warfare business development, capture strategies, and proposals, for both crewed and uncrewed air vehicles

  • Direct operational analysis trade studies to assess the optimum requirements

  • Interact frequently with senior-level executives concerning projects, operational decisions and strategies.

  • Demonstrate visible leadership across the portfolio leading by example and driving program performance excellence.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with experience presenting to senior leaders and customers.

  • Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring skills with the ability to achieve results through others.

  • Business acumen mindset, awareness within and outside the business

  • Ability to hold yourself and others accountable

  • Take an active role in development and execution of a growth strategy to support the product line s integrated business plan and technology growth plan.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or DAWIA Level II/III

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Master s degree in a technical discipline

  • Have held a clearance within 2 years

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $159300 - $270800

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
