BAE Systems is seeking an EMI/EMC Electrical Engineer for our Nashua NH facility.
Responsibilities of this role include:
Complete compliance process including technical, cost, and schedule performance to achieve Earned Value objectives.
Review Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) requirements, including EMI/EMC/EME/ESD/EMP and lightning; recommend updates/communicate issues to the project team to meet specified product performance.
Maintain an active presence while participating in design meetings, PWB reviews, as well as driving design efforts toward EMC compliance
Provide direction in Electromagnetic Interference design of system and LRU packaging and partitioning, internal and external cable design and shielding, grounding and isolation requirements, connector and CCA filtering design and CCA layout recommendations.
Develop EM and circuit simulation computational models for interference coupling mechanisms, shielding integrity, and circuit/cable interface isolation to mitigate and control conducted/radiated emissions and susceptibility stimuli.
Prepare and complete EMI control plans, test plans/procedures/reports
Act as the first contact for EMC test anomalies and collaborate with the engineering team in trouble-shooting EMI test failures

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed fulltime on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
A Bachelor s degree in a in a STEM Field ( i.e. Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related field), and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; or a Master s degree plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
4 years experience in EMI/EMC analysis, testing, and compliance
Working knowledge of MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464
Experience in EMI/EMC analysis and modeling, product qualification tests and test techniques, and product compliance
Knowledge of virtual meeting tools such as Webex, Zoom, Skype, Microsoft Teams, etc., in order to accomplish the work of your team
Ability to obtain & maintain DoD security clearance (US Citizenship Required)-?xml:namespace prefix = "o" /->
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Master's Degree in a STEM Field (Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related field)
Familiarity with typical EMI/EMC test equipment and control software including oscilloscopes, spectrum and network analyzers, EMI receivers, low noise amplifiers, signal generators, etc.
Working knowledge of RTCA DO-160
Experience with software tools such as Matlab, MathCAD, PSPICE, LTSPICE, and ANSYS HFSS, and other simulation tools
Previous work experience with reading, interpreting and following: circuit schematics, PCB layouts, engineering drawings, BOMs, cable harnesses, wiring schematics, interface diagrams, layout drawings, mechanical drawings and CAD software
Prior experience with lightning mitigation in systems, or subsystems.
Possess iNarte EMC Engineer Certification
Possess Secret or Top Secret DoD security clearance (US Citizenship Required)
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $89650 - $152460
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
