BAE Systems Microwave Product Engineer - Weekend Shift in Nashua, New Hampshire

Job Description

This position is for Weekend Days (Fri-Sun). The selected candidate will be entitled to a 10% shift differential. The candidate will work a total of 36 hours but be paid for 40 hours.

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Responsibilities may include -

  • Support production, with troubleshooting and debug of electro-mechanical assemblies, working directly with technicians and design engineering personnel.

  • Assist production team developing tune patterns to allow modules to meet specifications without extensive tuning reducing HPU s.

  • Support systems engineering with debug and evaluation of system returns.

  • Develop process improvements to improve quality, cost and schedule.

  • Manually debug complex microwave assemblies and sub-assemblies in support of production and engineering prototyping efforts.

  • Feedback test process problems to engineering as necessary.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent or Associate's Degree and 2 years experience.

  • Must be able to work 12-hour shifts.

  • Demonstrated ability in isolating electrical failures to root cause.

  • Proficient at interpreting engineering documentation including but not limited to schematics, assembly drawings, and component data sheets.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Excellent communication skill.

  • Understanding of basic Lean Manufacturing principles.

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel.

  • Knowledge of RF and Microwave subassemblies.

  • Familiar with RF instrumentation (i.e. network analyzers, spectrum analyzers and signal sources), and the control of hardware through software interfaces (automated test sequence).

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $77809 - $132275

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
