BAE Systems Subcontract Program Manager II in Nashua, New Hampshire

Job Description

Electronic Combat Solutions (ECS) has technology, engineering and program teams that educate and mentor colleagues to deliver leading Electronic Warfare capabilities. Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage the execution of subcontracts for materials, equipment, supplies and services of a highly-specialized and complex nature through all phases of the program lifecycle.

  • Evaluate, negotiate, and manage assigned subcontracts to perform to each project s specifications, quality, budget, schedule and earned value requirements to include the timely delivery of all deliverables required to fulfill the subcontract.

  • Author, manage and influence critical path releases of Statements of Works (SOWs) and plans to align with required schedules and subcontractor lead times

  • Deliver quality customer service to both internal and external customers and foster and maintain good supplier relationships, while driving a Zero Defect mindset with suppliers.

  • Participate in the support of new business and in the development of financial plans for the company, as it pertains to the planned outsourced portion of the project(s).

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • U.S. Citizenship

  • Bachelor s Degree or higher

  • Experience in Subcontract Management, Project Management, and/or Program Management

  • Strong demonstrated negotiation skills and strategies

  • Experience supporting customer proposals and new business captures

  • Experience developing long-term strategies and tactical plans to achieve program objectives

  • Experience leading cross-functional Integrated Product Teams (IPTs)

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on relationship building, leading through influence, and the ability to effectively communicate at all levels (verbally and in writing)

  • Experience with scope management and cost estimating, including estimate to complete and estimate at completion processes (ETC/EAC)

  • Ability to communicate with senior management regarding subcontract performance status (cost/schedule/resources/risk) as well as performance to financial objectives

  • Experience communicating externally either with customers and suppliers

  • Technical, programmatic, financial, and business acumen

  • Excellent team player who is willing to contribute in any capacity

  • Motivated individual with effective problem-solving abilities

  • Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or Operations

  • Master s Degree in Engineering and/or Business Administration

  • Experience managing the development and compliance of requirements (SOWs)

  • Program Management Institute (PMI) Program Management Professional (PMP) certification

  • Demonstrated Risk and Opportunities Management experience

  • Knowledge and experience with Oracle ERP, FAR/DFAR, flow down requirements, and financial acumen

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $146670 - $249330

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
