BAE Systems is seeking an experienced and innovative Supply Chain Training Manager to lead our efforts in optimizing our organization s supply chain training. This position reports directly to the Global Supply Chain Process Owner in a supply chain organization responsible for $2.5B in annual material requirements for the Electronic Systems (ES) Sector. With over 1000 supply chain professionals, the ES Sector supply chain team spans multiple locations in the United States, and United Kingdom

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Working closely with supply chain SMEs, Operations Training Team, and the Global Process team to develop sector specific training around key policies, processes, systems, and tools.

  • Ensuring appropriate delivery of developed sector level training. This may include direct responsibilities for delivering training content.

  • Ensuring organizational training compliance with Operations, Sector, and Corporate level requirements.

  • Supporting Electronic Systems implementation of supply chain competency models and associated supply chain career development activities such as sector rotational programs.

  • Overseeing implementation of existing training programs, including supporting the annual budget process.

  • Working cross functionally to develop training engagements with functions such as Contracts, Legal, Engineering, Program Management, etc.

  • Support the organization in identifying critical skills associated with key functions within the supply chain to support broader supply chain talent management strategies.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

  • Capable of collaborating with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand current processes and cross functional needs.

  • Ability to coach and support a diverse supply chain organization on processes, tools, and best practices.

  • Ability to take practical work experience and existing process/procedures and convert to learning requirements.

  • Passion to Teach ability to nurture a learning environment with employees.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and engaging manner.

Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely. Travel is expected at 30% but may surge during certain times.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Working knowledge of Supply Chain roles (Category or Commodity Management, Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Logistics, Planning, Master Scheduling, etc.) strongly preferred

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word and Power Point

  • Technology savvy and able to leverage new technologies to enhance learning

  • Bachelor s degree required (in HR/Training or a Supply Chain discipline) with 10 years relevant experience.

  • Understanding of defense aerospace industry & regulations

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Expertise in Instructional Design and Delivery

  • Familiarity with Oracle ERP systems

  • Experience working in an Aerospace and Defense Manufacturing environment

  • Graduate degree in a related field

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $124080 - $210980

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
