The Opportunity

The SouthEast Region has an opportunity for a Regional Sales Manager . This position covers the Southeast US including VA, WV, TN, KY, AR, LA, MI, AL, GA, NC, SC, FL). Ideally based in Atlanta, Charlotte, Tampa, Orlando, Nashville (or near a major airport in the SE). The Regional Sales Manager is a strategic sales leader that’s highly skilled at finding ways to maintain accounts combined with growing new business. This position works across multiple stakeholders including C-suite and Lab leadership to expedite complex decisions to quick wins. Self-starter, develops and deploys best practices, identifies new customer insights to drive business, highly accountable, and delivers above expectations. The position is responsible for leading a team of 5-7 sales professionals.

What you'll do

  • Hire, develop, and mentor extraordinary sales professionals who execute complex, long-term sales strategies in large, high-priority opportunities that address customer pain-points and maximize long-term partnerships within the division.

  • Ensure achievement of sales and commercial objectives across assigned region.

  • Profitably manage P&L; effectively and efficiently manage administrative duties.

  • Synthesize customer and competitor insights, market and industry challenges, and division product solutions to drive long-term strategies and foster long-term customer relationships.

  • Partner with internal colleagues to ensure your customers meet or exceed contractual obligations.

  • Manage complex long-term capital sales cycles

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • 7+ years’ sales experience in the molecular, diagnostics, core laboratory, point of care, or capital equipment industry.

  • 3+ years’ experience leading, mentoring, and developing sales teams.

  • Must be willing to travel up to 50- 65% in assigned region and occasionally other locations in the US to support business needs.

Preferred

  • MBA or other graduate degree is a plus.

  • Proven Success in Strategic Sales: exceeds plan and takes underperforming territory and turns it around (e.g., P-Club winner, under AOP to consistent over AOP, etc.).

  • 5+ years of experience in sales and/or multi-stakeholder environment developing and selling customized solutions to executive-level/C-suite executives.

  • Strong business planning process and attention to detail, strong Microsoft Office and CRM skills.

The base pay for this position is $109,300.00 – $218,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
