Role Definition

  • Assists in developing, testing and implementing application systems.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in coding and testing computer programs for relatively straightforward or small projects.

  • Assist in preparing technical and procedural documentation required in application system development.

  • Provide detailed flowcharts to show processing logic for simple application programs.

  • Contribute solutions for programming system operations, including encoding, testing, debugging and documenting programs.

Skill Required:

  • Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

  • Application Design, Architecture: Knowledge of basic activities and deliverables of application design; ability to utilize application design methodologies, tools and techniques to convert business requirements and logical models into a technical application design.

  • Implementation: Knowledge of how to run applications for organizations; ability to implement application software within an organization and help end-users perform specific tasks (ex: accounting or graphic design).

  • System and Technology Integration: Knowledge of the features and facilities of systems; ability to integrate and communicate among applications, databases and technology platforms.

  • System Testing: Knowledge of system and software testing; ability to design, plan and execute system testing strategies and tactics to ensure the quality of software at all stages of the system life cycle.

  • Systems Software Infrastructure: Knowledge of computer architecture and system software interaction; ability to design and build a fundamental architecture of operating systems, database management systems, communications protocols, compilers and other development tools.

  • Technical Troubleshooting: Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools, and techniques; ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical issues on hardware, software, application, or operation.

  • Technical Writing/Documentation: Knowledge of technical writing; ability to write technical documents such as manuals, reports, guidelines or documents on standards, processes and applications.

Consideration for Top Candidates:

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in Salesforce Lightning development: The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in developing applications using Salesforce Lightning. This includes creating custom Lightning components, using Lightning Web Components (LWC), and working with the Lightning App Builder to enhance the user interface and improve functionality.

  • Familiarity with AutoRabit, Code Scanning Tools, and ServiceNow: Candidates with experience in using AutoRabit for continuous integration and deployment will be highly valued. Additionally, knowledge of code scanning tools to ensure code quality and security, as well as experience with ServiceNow for IT service management, will be beneficial.

  • Proven ability to coordinate across the Salesforce Cloud, particularly with the deployment of Financial Services Cloud and Velocity: The candidate should have a strong track record of coordinating and managing deployments across various Salesforce Cloud platforms. Experience with Financial Services Cloud and Velocity will be particularly advantageous, as it demonstrates the ability to handle complex integrations and customizations specific to the financial services industry.

  • Salesforce Administrator Certification: The candidate should hold a Salesforce Administrator Certification, which validates their expertise in Salesforce administration, including user management, security, data management, and configuration.

Must Have:

  • Previous experience in Salesforce deployment: The candidate must have substantial experience in deploying Salesforce solutions, including configuring and customizing Salesforce environments, managing data migrations, and ensuring successful implementation of Salesforce projects.

  • Proficiency in using GIT for version control: The candidate should be adept at using GIT for version control, including branching, merging, and managing repositories. This skill is essential for maintaining code integrity and facilitating collaboration among development teams.

This position is currently a hybrid in-office work model, requiring 3-day weekly office presence onsite at our Nashville Main office and remote work for the remaining days. However, work arrangements may be adjusted at any time based on business needs.

Summary Pay Range:

$92,880.00 - $160,788.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
