Responsibilities

The Federal Project Audit Engineer will be directly responsible for developing and submitting engineering related federal reporting requirements and effectively managing DOE engineering audits. The Federal Project Audit Engineer will also be responsible for auditing and administration of the Eastman IP requirements for the project.

A successful candidate will influence and collaborate effectively across diverse functional groups at all organizational levels to achieve common objectives to achieve successful, compliant projects. The candidate will be expected to collaborate with operations, technology, business leaders, and other corporate support organizations. They will also have independent interaction with key US government customers, regulators, and auditors.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop & collect required information for DOE federal reporting, which may include project status, schedule status, significant activities, project changes, design updates, technology maturation, safety, security incidents, and environmental issues/incidents. • Manage DOE engineering audits of the project related to the project progress status, schedule status, significant activities, project changes, design updates, technology maturation, safety, security incidents, environmental issues/incidents, technical reports, and software/IP/data generated under the project. • Assist in the collection or the management of developing as required engineering documents and cost estimates for the issuance of DOE funding. • Conduct regular audits and assessments to evaluate consistency with company information protection policies across all relevant departments, projects, and third-party interactions. Identify areas of departures from policies that need improvement. Contribute to developing and implementing corrective actions to mitigate risks. • Support the development and delivery of training programs to educate Eastman team members and relevant internal stakeholders on Eastman IT security practices and data protection. Contribute to raising awareness about the importance of data protection and confidentiality within the organization and among external partners. • Continuous Improvement: Provide input and contribute to improvements in existing processes, policies, and controls to enhance the overall effectiveness and efficiency of information management systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college • 5+ years of Engineering, Procurement, & Construction experience, ideally in a federal contracting environment • Capital project experience in the chemical or petrochemical refinery industries • Familiarity with challenges in information sharing and IP protection in a variety of contexts, including high risk geographies. • Strong analytical skills to assess risks, assist in conducting due diligence, and contribute to developing effective risk mitigation strategies. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with a variety of internal stakeholders, including IT teams, legal advisors, Global Business Conduct and Corporate Security. • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and work independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. • Attention to detail and ability to maintain the confidentiality company information as well as details of investigations. • Able to travel as necessary #LI-Remote
