Position responsible for assisting in the Records Group by:
Establishes, coordinates, and maintains electronic intellectual property records of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Work occasionally requires a high level of mental effort and strain when performing a volume of clerical tasks and performing essential duties.
May require irregular hours and may occasionally require more than 40 hours per week to perform the fundamental duties of the position.
An understanding of IP law that will allow the completion of file administrator duties without the need for direct and continuous supervision.
Other projects can/will be assigned.

A minimum of a high school diploma is required. A college degree, or equivalent-type education or experience is preferred.
At least two (2) years experience in an administrative support role including electronic records management experience in a corporate legal department or law firm is required.
A self-starter with ability to prioritize and handle a full workload is crucial, including flexibility to aid in assigned projects on an ad hoc basis is required.
Experience in intellectual property law is preferred, particularly as it relates to the J&J Document Retention Policy
Strong teamwork, organizational and planning skills are required.
Must be hard-working, efficient, and meticulous in attention to detail is required.
A working understanding of Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel is preferred.
Experience using an electronic patent database is required, preferably Memotech.
Ability to sort, analyze and organize documents for electronic filing is required.
Ability to coordinate and prioritize a variety of tasks and complete them under time constraints is required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate and follow directives in person, by e-mail, and by telephone from clients, attorneys, and staff and provide information with ordinary courtesy and tact is required.
