Job Description:
We are searching for the best talent for a Manager, Technical Operations & Risk, Executive Communications to be in New Brunswick, NJ.
Purpose: Responsible for the development and execution of integrated corporate communication and public affairs (C&PA) strategies in support of the Enterprise Technical Operations & Risk organization.
In this role, the Manager will partner closely with the Director, Technical Operations & Risk Communications, leading all aspects of external TO&R thought leadership for the J&J Chief Technical Operations & Risk Officer (CTO&RO) and EC Committee members!
You will be responsible for :
Executive Communications Support :
Leading all aspects of external TO&R thought leadership, including external executive speaker and media opportunities, editorials, and social media engagements, as well as amplifying awareness and demonstrating support on key policy issues.
Engage and educate partners on how the Johnson & Johnson dedication to quality, safety, and reliability is at the core of our aspiration to change the trajectory of human health; collaborate with other communications teams to understand engagement metrics and design strategies to drive continuous improvement.
In partnership with the Director, TO&R communications, coordinate executive engagement calendar for the CTO&RO and scheduling of critical, high-profile external and internal events, including social media cadence and video recordings.
Lead the CTO&RO’s social media strategy, including content development/publishing and editorial calendar, and partner with other TO&R communications leads on overall social strategy and landmark calendar for leaders across TO&R.
Continuously connect with business partners to foster alignment on key business actions and to assess and modify, as needed, ongoing communication activities.
Shape and influence business decisions and serve as trusted advisor to the CTO&RO’s Chief of Staff.
Internal Communication:
In collaboration with a complex matrix of cross-functional partners, deliver integrated strategies that strengthen TO&R team culture, and increase employee awareness and engagement.
In partnership with the Director, TO&R Communications, lead all aspects of employee communications, including coordinating townhalls, newsletters, management messages, announcements, and content calendars for internal social channels.
Develop and curate content that is compelling, relevant, and grounded in employee understanding and insights.
Support TO&R leadership to effectively engage with their employees, and in doing so, find opportunities to address feedback and strengthen alignment.
Manage communications agencies and contractors as required, including managing budgets, measurement, and reviews.
Lead all aspects of day-to-day relationship with public relations agencies, including development of TO&R executive thought leadership strategy and TO&R executive social strategy.
Measure, track, and report progress on internal communications, in alignment with goals and objectives through the delivery of innovative measurement programs that generate actionable insights.
Serve on the J&J EC Communications Council representing the CTO&RO, as the main point-of-contact for TO&R organizational updates and partnering with other EC comms leads on best practices and opportunities to collaborate and streamline across EC Members.
Qualifications / Requirements:
BA required
Proven performer with 6+ years of experience managing communication in a company, NGO, government agency or public relations agency
Proven track record of successful public relations/communications, corporate communication, product communication, public affairs, and/or media relations achievements
Key problem-solving skills in developing communication and engagement strategies and actions; high degree of independent judgment
Able to think beyond the “tried and true” to devise innovative ways to communicate, while aligning with goals and objectives
Outstanding writing and communication skills. The ability to understand target audiences and translate sophisticated concepts into clear and concise messages
Experience managing, leading, and implementing projects
Demonstrated experience translating strategic concepts into action plans and implementing initiatives at an operational level
Demonstrated ability to develop a reputation as a trusted adviser and communications expert to senior business leaders
Thrives in fast-paced environments, is flexible and collaborative
Able to analyze issues and opportunities and communicate their overarching impact

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
The base pay range is $100,000 - $172,500 USD.
Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis. Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)). This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.
