Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Senior Tax Analyst to join our Global Tax Technology, Process and Controls team. This role is a project role and may be based in New Brunswick, NJ or Warsaw, Indiana.

Purpose:

In this role, the Senior Tax analyst will support the design, implementation and maintenance activities for the global deployments of SAP S4 and Vertex to support the direct and indirect tax functionality and run state for the NA based legal entities. This role is a project role and is based in New Brunswick, NJ or Warsaw, Indiana. The senior tax analyst will cooperate with various tax functions and other workstreams to support requirement gathering and will support the day-to-day project and administrative activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation of Vertex in view of the deployment of SAP S4 for the EMEA region

  • Support functional configuration, trouble shooting and functional maintenance of Vertex O-series and the SAP S4 tax functionality

  • Support requirement gathering relating to product and financial flows, direct and indirect tax requirements and business models

  • Assist in analyzing complex business flows and processes to identify indirect tax implications.

  • Support identifying test scenarios and testing of indirect tax-related test scripts and ensure that functionality meets tax requirement specifications both in S4 and Vertex

  • Collaborate with the appropriate Tax functions, Finance and other workstreams such as deliver, logistics and trade compliance to drive accurate and timely deployment and in line with tax requirements

  • Execute administrative tasks relating to project deployment (eg project planning, dashboards, status updates), change control and security

  • Support tax technology team in day-to-day project activities (i.e. data collection, mapping exercises, Jira admin tasks and more).

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s level degree or equivalent work experience is required

  • 3 years experience in tax, finance, IT or related field is preferred

  • Knowledge of Indirect tax and compliance is preferred

  • Knowledge of Vertex is preferred

  • Strong Analytical skills and attention to detail is preferred

  • Good organization skills and ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects and time is required

  • Knowledge of general finance, tax and accounting processes is preferred

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to partner with, influence and effectively communicate with all levels of the organization

  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, meet deadlines and be able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment

  • Ability to handle ambiguity and fluid situations

  • Some travel may be required

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$91,000-$147,200

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis. Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)). This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.
