Working with experienced engineers, you will perform stress analysis of structural components, assemblies, systems and/or mechanisms for the Orion Service Module. The successful candidate may also have the opportunity to support structural testing of components and assemblies.

Actively enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering or similarly related program from an accredited college/university.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Successful completion of a course in Statics.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a collaborative and inclusive environment.
Understanding and ability to apply basic Mechanical Engineering principles, theories and concepts.
Knowledge of mechanical modeling and analysis tools, such as FEMAP and Nastran.
Fundamental understanding of structures, mechanisms and materials.
Coursework in Mechanics of Materials, Finite Element Analysis, and/or Fracture Mechanics.
Desire to work with structures, mechanisms, analysis and all things Lockheed Martin Space!
